Technology Partnership Program
Students at Kettle Moraine Middle School and High School have the opportunity to participate in the Technology Partnership Program (TPP). Over 80% of 5th grade families choose to participate. Through TPP, families and KMSD share the cost of a Google Chromebook that each student can use as part of their daily learning. Our goal is to increase student engagement and ownership of learning by providing continuous access to online resources. KMSD is supplying the Chromebooks using funds from the general operating budget, not from any referendum funding.
The Kettle Moraine School District offers Internet, e-mail and network access (collectively "the system") for employee and student use. An additional benefit of the program is that, for safety and security, TPP devices are monitored and filtered by district systems both at school and at home. Employees, students and their parents/guardians should be aware that activity is monitored and complying with acceptable use is the sole responsibility of the individual user.
Families who qualify for fee waivers are not required to make the payment and may still participate in the program, however they will not own the device at the end of the program unless payments are made.
Expectations for the program and additional details are available in the TPP handbook and user agreement
Google Apps for Education
The Kettle Moraine School District uses Google Apps for Education to support student learning.
What is Google Apps for Education, and why is Kettle Moraine using it?
Google Apps is a cloud-based software, which means that the software is used entirely online. This software includes: Docs, Drive, Calendar, Email, and Sites. Here's a video that explains the basics of how Google Apps works:
